Worked with Logitech Design group that conduct usibility testing of three existing office used mouse.
Collect the length of index finger and the width of plam.
Present the pre-recoding open box video.
Giving 2 min to subject for simulating the process of tearing a new mouse and learning how to use the mouse.
According the providing function of each mouse, asking the understanding of each mouse. Record their response as the mean of counting learnability.
Subjects have to finish a task using the mouse. (task: using powerpoint to complete a slide with mouse. To make sure subject learn how to complete the tssk, user will learn to complete the task using a mouse that is not in three experiment mouse. Also, user set DPI, the height of the seat, etc to make sure they complete task at the position they feel comfortable.)
Collecting the time subjects work on their task to evaluate the efficiency of mouse.
Learnability
Test learnability between three mice
Conclusion:
Difference mouse would affect learnability.
Conclusion:
M350 has the highest learnability.
M720 has the lowest learnability.
Efficiency
Conclusion:
No significant diffence between mice. That is to say, difference mouse would not affect efficiency.
Anthropometry analysis
Conclusion:
M720 is the most suitable for Male.
M720 and M185 are suitble for Female.
Need further improvement on M350 that does not fit anthropometry scale.
